Flea, the Red Hot Chili Peppers bass guitarist, recently donated his signature guitar to charity. The auction closed Jan. 30 2022. The bass is covered in hand-drawn doodles by the rocker, including the words “I Am Flea And I Love You.” He also promised to give one-on-one guitar lessons to the winner of the bid. All the money will be going towards a good cause – Watts Community Core.

According to Loudwire, “Watts Community Core’s goal is to ensure participants stay out of trouble in and outside of school and to learn skills that will enable them to excel in the arena and life. Discipline, dedication, hard work, perseverance, etc. are all skills that youth will develop through the program. Most importantly, they will have mentors and guides to help them avoid or disengage with the gangs in the community.’”

This money is towards a great cause, to keep the youth out of trouble. Other bands as well such as the Eagles and Radiohead have also made donations toward Watts Community Core and other causes.
