These 2022 Oscars Looks Were Absolutely Stunning
This year’s 94th Annual Academy Awards were something special. They were packed with stunning looks and unexpected drama. The outfits ranged all the way from classic black tuxedos to lace full-length gowns. Here are some of the best looks of the night.
Timotheé Chalamet in Louis Vuitton
“Dune” star, Timotheé Chalamet came out looking incredible in his custom Louis Vuitton look. The lack of shirt was particularly the thing that catches most people’s eyes. He wore a beautiful black blazer with sequin details. The silver pendant he wore by Cartier going far down on his chest tied together the look.
Benedict Cumberbatch in Giorgio Armani
Special Appearance by his wife, Sophie Hunter
This is what you call a black tux done well. Best Actor nominee for starring in “The Power Of The Dog,” Benedict Cumberbatch looked classy. He showed his support for Ukraine with a pin on his blazer.
Ariana DeBose in Valentino
The star of “West Side Story,” and Best Supporting Actress Winner, Ariana DeBose wore a jaw-dropping red custom Valentino outfit. Her jewelry stands out very well with this bold look.
Billie Eilish in a Gucci Gown and Fred Leighton Jewelry
Best Original Song award winner, the Gucci Goddess wore a beautiful black ruffle gown that draped elegantly along the floor. This shoulder-showing look was able to put her hair that was ironed outwards on display, with gorgeous side bangs. Billie Eilish absolutely slayed this look.
Finneas in Gucci and Claudia Sulewski in an Undisclosed Designer
Now, this is how you rock a black suit! Finneas, winner of the Best Original Song, came to the Oscars wearing a classic Gucci black tux, sprinkled with a little spice. If you look up close, there is mild detailing on the blazer. To go with the blazer, he wore a bow tie and black heeled shoes.
Claudia Sulewski, came to the Oscars wearing a detailed black gown with a scoop neck, looking gorgeous. Sometimes, the most elegant is the simplistic.
Andrew Garfield in an Undisclosed Designer and an Omega Speedmaster ‘57 Watch
Best Actor nominee for starring in “Tick, Tick…BOOM!”, Andrew Garfield’s look was breathtaking. He wore a maroon velvet blazer and underneath was a black button-up shirt. He wore a unique bowtie and velvet loafers. This was by far one of the best looks Garfield has ever worn.
Jake Gyllenhaal in a Givenchy Suit and Cartier Jewelry
Jake Gyllenhaal came to the Oscars in Givenchy with a navy blazer over top of a black button-down. The best part of this look are the classic black shoes. He gave a little more flare than most men do but still played it safe, in the best way possible.
Alana Haim in Louis Vuitton
Alana Haim looked majestic on the red carpet, and we’re here for it. Her makeup was simple, along with her hair. Her dress had sparkly scales on it, with strappy heels.
Lily James in Atelier Versace
Lily James, the “Pam & Tommy” star wore a dreamy, Atelier Versace rosewater-colored gown, with floral designs and a large slit going up the thigh. With ruffles and lace, this look had everyone in awe.
Emilia Jones in Dolce & Gabbana with Swarovski Crystals
“CODA” star Emilia Jones came to the Oscars wearing a custom Dolce & Gabbana cutout gown made completely of Swarovski Crystals. It looked splendid and timeless.
Zoë Kravitz in Saint Laurent
Zoë Kravitz looked absolutely stunning in a Saint Laurent floor-length gown in a baby pink color, with a bow accent. This look was very reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn with her slicked-back hair that showed off her jawline, and her baby bangs. The simplistic necklace contributed to making her look more feminine and classy.
Simu Liu in Versace
The “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” star, Simu Liu wore a striking red suit with classy black loafers to the Oscars. This look was especially amazing, given that most men wear a black suit. This suit took around 100 hours to make!
Rami Malek in Prada
Rami Malek came to the red carpet in sunglasses, with a Prada suit. On his blazer, he had accents that tied together the look. The trend this year among men seems to have been classic bowties.
Shawn Mendes in Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Louboutin Shoes
Shawn Mendes came to the Oscars looking handsome, as always. He wore a clean and crisp black tux by Dolce & Gabbana with Christian Louboutin shoes.
Lupita Nyong’o in Prada
Lupita Nyong’o wore a floor-length gold sequin and fringe dress by Prada which was gorgeous. With a bold red lip and natural makeup, this turned into one of the greatest looks of the night.
Megan Thee Stallion in Gaurav Gupta
Megan Thee Stallion wore a soft blue gown, with flowing waves toward the bottom with a train. Her hair was slicked back, and she wore strappy blue sandals. Stallion really showed us that accessorizing elevates looks.
Kristen Stweart in Chanel
Spencer star Kristen Stewart broke barriers wearing a custom Chanel barely buttoned white button-up, a blazer and shorts. With beautiful jewelry and her iconic hair, Stewart looked confident and empowering in this look!
Sebastián Yatra in Esteban Cortázar
This look certainly turned heads with this baby pink suit with a black bowtie made by Esteban Cortázar. Personally, my favorite part of this incredible look was the pink and black oxfords with beautiful detailing. He was the first Colombian solo artist to perform at the Oscars.
Zendaya in Valentino
Zendaya’s outfit was absolutely gorgeous. She wore a white button-down crop top, with a silver sequin skirt with a train. To go along with the outfit, Zendaya also had bracelets that blended perfectly with her skirt. Zendaya went for a more natural makeup look, with her hair tied up.
Now, these were just some of the outfits that were amazing! If you’re a fashion lover, like I am, this time of year is always amazing since there is so much content. Every year, there are more and more new people with new looks to present to us. Personally, my favorite looks of the night were Timotheé Chalamet, Billie Eilish, and Zoë Kravitz! There were so many outstanding looks, that I couldn’t choose just one. But, I’m dying to know what your favorite look was at this year’s Oscars, so put in the comments what it was!
