Junior Class Ring Ceremony
This April, on the 22nd The Girls Academic Leadership Academy (GALA) held its inaugural class ring ceremony. Despite the event being long overdue because of the pandemic, the ring ceremony was successful and motivating. What started as an idea from beloved teacher Mrs. Agwamegwa and principal Dr. Hicks transformed a generation of young “steminists” and brought the GALA community together. The event was short and sweet, beginning with the Junior class receiving gift boxes filled with mardi gras style beads, a ring pop, and a letter from the senior member of their GALA family.
