What Cat Breed Are You Based Off of Your Elemental Zodiac Sign?

(My cat, Styles! She is an 11-month-old orange tabby named after Harry Styles.)

Cats are majestic creatures that act like they own the world. While being slightly narcissistic, cats are loyal companions to their owners. From their furry coats to their fluffy tails, cats help people get through hard times and fill them with joy. I think we should all have a cat in our lives. From my experience with cats, they are low maintenance and the silliest animals on Earth. For the most part, they love hanging out with their owners and love a good play-time session.

With this knowledge, wouldn’t you want to know what cat you are based on your elemental zodiac sign? There are three different zodiac signs that share a common elemental sign. The four elemental signs are fire, earth, air, and water. In this article, you will learn what cat you are most like based on their personality.

Siamese – Fire Signs

According to Women’s Health Mag, fire signs are known to be very passionate and impatient. Whether it is something satisfactory or unsatisfactory, they will treat it with passion. They tend to blow up emotionally as well.

The three fire signs are Aries (March 21-April 19), Leo (July 24-Aug. 23), and Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20).

Because of their fiery personalities, Siamese cats are the embodiment of fire signs. Siamese cats have a majority of cream fur, with some dark brown features, with beautiful crystal blue eyes. Siamese’s personalities are always very intense. With that, these cats are great to be around, and everyone enjoys their presence.

Siamese cats do tend to meow a lot, which is a way to show their emotions. This means that Siamese cats have very strong feelings, and they are not afraid to show them. When something doesn’t go their way, they will make sure to let everyone in their presence know, just like fire signs would.

Ragdoll – Earth Signs

Earth signs are known to be patient and practical. This means that they have easy-going temperaments and will keep their cool for a long time. Earth signs are also known to be stubborn; they won’t back down from a fight and will give it their all.

The three earth signs include Taurus (April 20-May 20), Virgo (Aug. 24-Sept. 22), and Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 20).

Based on these traits, the perfect cat breed to represent earth signs is the ragdoll. Ragdolls were created in the 1960s by an American breeder. Ragdolls are known for their striking blue eyes and silky white fur.

Ragdolls provide a calming environment for children. Imagine the amount of patience that takes? Ragdolls are also very relaxed cats that won’t mind being pet by their owners. Ragdolls show their fair share of aggression towards their owners. There’s only so much that they can take before they lose it. They are also very high maintenance, just like earth signs.

Scottish Fold – Air Signs

Air signs are known to be intelligent and good at communicating. They are good at figuring things out on their own. Air signs are humorous, meaning that they know how to make a good joke.

The three air signs are Aquarius (Jan. 21-Feb. 19), Gemini (May 21-June 21), and Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22).

For air signs, the Scottish fold is a perfect fit. This is due to their personality, which matches the air signs’ intelligence and communication. Did you know that Scottish folds are banned in Scotland? You may have seen this cat breed owned by the multi-talented Taylor Swift. With their round heads and folded ears, Scottish Folds are definitely a unique cat breed. Scottish folds are all different, given their fur color ranges. Scottish folds’ eye color is usually a bright golden color that looks like honey.

Scottish folds have characteristics that make them very similar to air signs. Scottish folds are very friendly cats and enjoy pets and cuddles. They have a very chill attitude and will always go with the flow. They are not particularly active, but they are more active than your typical lap-cat.

Russian Blue – Water Signs

(Featuring my friend’s cat, Mina! She is a 10-month-old Russian blue!)

Water signs are very loyal to the people they care about. They will do anything for their friends and family to keep them safe. They are also known to be very sensitive and think with their emotions, rather than logic.

The three water signs include Pisces (Feb. 20-March 20), Cancer (June 22-July 23), and Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22).

Russian blue cats are a gorgeous shorthair breed. Even though they are named to be “blue” they usually have muted gray coats with blue undertones. Russian blues’ coats are also double-layered. Having a double-layered coat means that they have a protective layer of fur that keeps them warm in extremely cold areas. The seeming majority of Russian blue cats have crystal, lime green eyes, but the color varies in each cat.

Russian blues are known to love a routine. They are not a huge fan of change, so don’t mess up their area too much.

They are also known to be very sweet and loyal, just like water signs. If you want a cat that will let you pet and snuggle with it, a Russian blue would be a great choice. While being affectionate, they are not clingy though.

These cats are not perfect though, they have their flaws. They tend to pick a favorite in a household but are still sweet to everyone. One more thing is that Russian blues are very vocal. If you’re thinking about getting a Russian blue, be aware that you may be woken up by some loud meows during the night.

Here we are, coming to the end of the article. Of course, the characteristics of each cat and person will vary, so it is not entirely accurate.
