South Korean girl group NMIXX is one of many groups formed by SQU4D (a division within JYP Entertainment). The group used to consist of seven members but now consists of 6. These are the current members: Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin. They debuted on February 22, 2022.

NMIXX’s group name has a meaning; “N” stands for “now, new, next, and unknown” and “MIX” symbolizes combination and diversity. Their fan base name is “NSWERS”

NMIXX has won three awards, including, “Favorite New Artist of the Year” at the MAMA awards. Given that NMIXX is a fairly new group, three awards is especially impressive. NMIXX is currently best known for their “DICE” title track that came out on their 2022 ENTWURF album. The part that is most known is the “Big wave, Big wave” line, which has gone viral on many platforms.

And now, an introduction to the group’s members.

Lily: Vocalist. Lily was supposed to debut with ITZY, and was born and raised in Australia meaning she is Korean-Australian.

Haewon: Leader, vocalist. NSWERs say that Haewon has the same aura as TWICE’s Mina. They say she is very elegant, mature, and feminine.

Sullyoon: Vocalist. Her favorite artists are TWICE and Wonder Girls. She’s also always tired.

Bae: Vocalist, rapper. She is able to speak basic English. She also performed Dalla Dalla by ITZY for a talent show in high school and won.

Jiwoo: Rapper, dancer, vocalist. She likes listening to music, doing her nails, and the winter time.

Kyujin: Dancer, vocalist, rapper, maknae. She prefers pajamas over training wear. According to NMIXX members, she is the cleanest and takes care of herself the most.
