As the year progresses, more birthdays and anniversaries are celebrated. It’s more common than you think to see fan-made events that celebrate one’s favorite idol’s birthday or group anniversary in the kpop community. One popular way fans choose to celebrate is hosting cup sleeve events. These events often take place in a local cafe or boba shop and they are decorated accordingly. When drinks are bought, they are paired with custom cup holders, freebies (free fan-made merchandise), and possibly official merchandise as incentives to support the event and vendor. Events like this are a great way to support local businesses and meet new people through your interests!
