A few college decisions from GALA 2022 seniors

It has been a treacherous year for college admissions as we saw admissions rates go down as far as 3.19% at Harvard University. Through the craziness of the pandemic and the way that that impacted college admissions, this year has not been an easy one for the Class of 2022.

After many long months of writing essays and submitting applications and tediously waiting for their acceptances, they are finally done. Some of the seniors are staying here in Los Angeles while others are getting as far away from home as possible. You’ve probably seen the 35 seniors walking around campus wearing college sweatshirts. After going through the college admission process, it is well deserved.

This tradition originally started with the first graduating class in 2020. It is an amazing way for students to share where they are committing to college, but it is also a way to inspire the sixth through 11th graders to know that they can do it, too. While the process is long and treacherous, the rewards are well worth it. The Class of 2022 wishes the best of luck to the Class of 2023 in their college endeavors.
